Holiness, A State of Being

Updated: Jan 4, 2023

Holiness is not something we do, it's something that we ARE.

Jesus is our Holiness and the more we realize our true state of being through Jesus, the more our actions will "look holy."

We look in the mirror of Scripture and see Jesus reflecting back at us. This is how we learn who we really are and what we really look like.

We sometimes forget when we look away from the mirror and it can look like we are not holy, BUT WE ARE!

We have put so much pressure, focus, and worry on pursuing holiness, as if it's something we do, instead of who we are. Quit worrying about it and just relax.

It's quite sad that we put this focus and pressure on each other as believers as well as ourselves. Seeking holiness makes it about us and puts our eyes on us instead of Jesus. Remember, when our eyes are on Jesus, we mirror Him because we are seeing Him.

Also, we forget that it is the Holy Spirit doing the work that God began in us. He will complete this work. (Philippians 1:6) So, this tells me He will cause my holiness to manifest more as I learn and grow in the knowledge of all that is already mine. I don't even have to worry about it.

Relax, brothers and sisters. Relax and enjoy your relationship with God and enjoy the natural ebb and flow of the Holy Spirit in you. You are good before Him. YOU ARE HOLY!
