If what someone posts or preaches leaves you with an impartation of fear, distills your faith in the finished work of Jesus, and causes you to be less aware of the abiding presence of God, you're not hearing a messenger of the Gospel. We have many religiously trained ambassadors of the Old Covenant. The earth is filled with them today.
We are not an Old Covenant world anymore. Once we realize this, there will be many people who we once thought were good teachers and preachers that we will not be able to follow or listen to anymore. What they say will be like fingernails on a chalkboard to our ears. We are to continue to pray for them so that they may see what we all were once blind to, but we just cannot continue listening to them.
I'm so incredibly grateful my eyes were opened through the Holy Spirit's work in me. I'm not done learning, but at least I am free from the burden of my legalistic mindset that I lived under. I want others to be free too, but the Lord wants it even more so. I know you want this too. So, we keep reaching out, proclaiming the Gospel of Grace to all and loving them right where they are at.
