God's Relationship With Us is Different than Human Relationships

Our relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is not like our human relationships. It is important for us to know this.

God doesn't withdrawal His love, affection or blessings if we don't say "I'm sorry" for something we have done. We stand forgiven already, so our apologies don't move Him one way or another. He is firmly resolute in loving us with an everlasting love. We are forgiven!

God believes the best about us even when our behavior isn't the best. He looks on the inside and sees the reasons why we do things or don't do them. He always speaks to our hidden potential and who He knows us to be.

God never gets tired of helping us deal with our issues over and over again. It doesn't matter how many times He has to go around the same mountain with us; He is permanently cemented within us and will never leave, no matter what!

God does not hold grudges. He is not mad at us. He is able to separate what we do, from who we are.

God doesn't keep a record of how many times we have messed up. He never throws the past up in our face. He doesn't ever say, "I told you so."

God can handle all our emotions and temper tantrums. He is strong and unmoving. Unlike human relationships, our actions don't cause Him to be bipolar towards us. He is steady, firm, and unmovable in our life.

He knew we needed a rock that we could stand on. He is the unmovable rock of our salvation.

Our human relationships will have flaws and many imperfections and are often conditional. Our relationship with God is never based on conditions.

God is love! He can do nothing but love, because that's who He is.
